Motorsport UK is the national governing body for four-wheel motorsport in the UK. A not-for-profit organisation (limited by guarantee), it exists to manage, promote, campaign and grow the sport.

As a member focused organisation, Motorsport UK embraces a diverse community that includes 720 affiliated motor clubs, 70,000+ competition licence holders, 10,000 volunteer marshals, 4,000 officials and a legion of passionate motorsport spectators and fans.

As the national governing body, the work of Motorsport UK is vital to the sustainability of the sport, ensuring it stays relevant in an ever-changing socio-environment.

Fundamental to Motorsport UK’s mission is increasing accessibility and awareness of entry-level motorsport and the opportunities to participate at grassroots level. The RS Clubman licence was introduced in 2020 as a free of charge competition licence providing access to thousands of grassroots motorsport events each year, many of which are accessible in a standard road car or with limited investment in safety equipment.
